Critical Illness Cover

First the good news. The percentage of people who survive cancer for more than 10 years has risen from 23.6% in 1997 to 46.2% in 2007.* That’s an amazing increase. It’s also great news for the many people who face cancer every year. More and more are surviving.

But alongside the good news is the reality that the bills and mortgage still have to be paid while you are ill and until you can get back to work in the short or long term.

Critical Illness Cover is designed to pay out a lump sum to get you through this period. You can choose the amount of cover to pay your bills for a year, or to cover disability adaptations to your home, or to clear the mortgage.

The sad irony is that we think it will never happen to us, yet we all know someone to whom it has happened. Cancer, stroke, heart attack. Some have savings or family to rely on. Many don’t.

Do give us a ring today on 020 183 3703 to discuss your options.

If you would prefer insurance that pays out a monthly amount, then take a look at our page on income protection.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
